Students in grades 6-8 in the CincyAfterSchool program at Roberts Paideia Academy have been working with fine-art photographer David Rosenthal on a project to give old fashions new life through photography.
Each student created a body of photographs and a finished outfit fabricated from pre-existing garments, which they altered and embellished with additional elements to create new fashions.
The students' creations will be on display at the CPS Education Center at 2651 Burnet Avenue in Corryville beginning Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012.

Nearly 1,000 students will hit the ice at the U.S. Bank Ice Rink on Fountain Square this winter, thanks to School Skates. First Student, the exlusive provider of school transportation services to Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS), is partnering with CPS, YMCA-led CincyAfterSchool and Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation (3CDC) to give the students an opportunity to participate in one of the city's most popular winter atractions.
Joe Wilmers, a school social worker at Winton Hills Academy, will receive the Assistance League of Greater Cincinnati's National Operation School Bell Award for his support of the Operation School Bell program, which provides uniforms for students in need. He will be formally recognized on February 9 at a business luncheon at the Millennium Hotel.
